How long does a parasite cleanse take?

Our capsule protocols run nine days and are commonly repeated in cycles spaced two to four weeks apart, with supporting teas used throughout. Longer continuous use is not better — extended exposure to strong botanicals is harder on the gut lining than a well-spaced cycle.

Usually not, and photographs circulating online are frequently mucus, fibre or intestinal lining rather than organisms. Visual inspection is not a diagnostic method. If you want to know what is present, use a laboratory stool panel.

Do I need a prescription instead?

If testing confirms a specific pathogen, prescription antiparasitic treatment is the standard of care and an herbal protocol does not replace it. Herbal support can sit alongside clinical treatment when your clinician agrees on the timing.

Should my family do it at the same time?

Where a confirmed transmissible infection exists, clinical guidance sometimes includes treating close contacts — but that decision belongs to a clinician working from test results. Never place children or pregnant family members on an adult botanical protocol.

How do I know if I have parasites?

A laboratory stool panel with PCR is the practical answer for most adults, ideally with gut mapping alongside it. Symptoms raise the question; testing answers it. If you have fever, weight loss, persistent diarrhoea or blood in the stool, see a clinician promptly rather than testing at leisure.

Can a blood test detect parasites?

Some parasites produce detectable antibodies or raise eosinophils, so blood work can contribute. For intestinal organisms, stool PCR is generally more informative. Which test fits depends on your symptoms and exposure history, which is why a clinician chooses it.

What if my test comes back negative?

That is useful information, not a dead end. It redirects attention to the explanations that are statistically more likely — motility, dysbiosis, thyroid, iron, sleep or stress physiology — and those are addressable. A negative result saves you from a protocol that was never going to help.

Can food alone clear a parasite infection?

Not reliably, and no confirmed infection should be managed with diet alone. Foods support the gut environment and digestion; they are not a substitute for diagnosis or prescription treatment. Use them as the foundation, not the intervention.
